    On Thursday, October 29th, the House Leadership introduced two new health care bills called the Affordable Health Care for America Act and the Medicare Physician Payment Reform Act of 2009 and I want your input.

    Washington, D.C. - Late last night, Rep. Eric Massa went to the floor of the House of Representatives and called for a conclusion to the war in Afghanistan. Rep. Massa, a Naval Academy graduate who retired after 24 years of service, now serves on both the House Armed Services and the Homeland Security Committees, marked the 2,950th day of the war in Afghanistan, November 4th, with a call to take our nation in a new direction.   • Congressman Eric Massa requests that Governor Paterson extends the public comment period for hydro fracture drilling

    WASHINGTON, D.C. - Last night, Rep. Eric Massa sent a letter to Governor David Paterson to request a 60 day extension for the public comment period on New York State's draft Supplemental Generic Environmental Impact Statement regarding the process of hydraulic fracturing for natural gas. Massa's request would extend the public comment period from 60 days to 120 days. Massa's letter comes in response to the hundreds of requests for extension that constituents have voiced to the Congressional office.

    CORNING, N.Y. - Today Congressman Eric Massa highlighted the beginning of the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) application period. Every year, HEAP helps thousands of New Yorkers by providing grants to citizens that can't afford to keep their homes warm during the harsh winter. New Yorkers that think they might qualify are encouraged to apply online at http://www.otda.state.ny.us/main/heap or to contact one of their District Congressional offices.
